The KOLLOKIUM Projekt-01 Variant D doesn't adhere to traditional watchmaking conventions.
It explores an experimental aesthetic where light, texture, and visual illusion become the true language of the dial.
Its three-dimensional architecture, composed of 468 individually hand-applied cylinders, creates a particularly captivating abstract landscape, somewhere between digital sculpture, graphic wave, and miniature industrial topography.
Each sandblasted cylinder receives a hand-applied coat of green-emitting Super-LumiNova Grade X1, one of the most powerful and durable luminescent pigments used in watchmaking today. In the dark, the dial transforms into an almost surreal luminous structure.
The black hands, encircled with luminescent material, appear to float above the relief, while the fluorescent green seconds hand adds a particularly strong visual tension to the whole. Up close, the Projekt-01 appears as a contemporary Brutalist work. From a distance, the hour markers gradually emerge from the apparent chaos in a deliberately unsettling optical illusion. The die-cast 316L steel case extends this radical approach with a raw, industrial texture impossible to achieve through traditional watchmaking processes. Neither entirely matte nor truly polished, its surface develops a uniquely organic and mineral presence on the wrist.
Powered by a Swiss La Joux-Perret G101 movement offering a 68-hour power reserve, the Projekt-01 Variant D fully embraces its experimental and unconventional philosophy. Produced in a limited edition of only 299 pieces, this creation is aimed at collectors drawn to conceptual timepieces capable of provoking as much fascination as it does questions.
