GEAR MAGUS MS03 Expansion Hands – Sculpted Mechanics for Unconventional Dials


The MS03 Expansion Hands pays homage to 19th-century watchmaking ingenuity by reinterpreting the principle of telescopic hands invented by Vardon & Stedmann and popularized by the Parmigiani Ovale Pantographe. This rare complication solves a historic challenge: adapting hand movement to dials that are not perfectly round.


Its patented telescopic minute hand mechanically extends four times per hour, thanks to a double-gear transmission, providing a dynamic and fascinating reading. The time is displayed at 12 o'clock, accompanied by a fluid central seconds hand.


The remarkably fine guilloché dial enhances the watch with its deep reflections and architectural texture. It is protected by a domed sapphire crystal, set on a polished, brushed, and chamfered steel case with hollowed-out lugs for perfect visual balance.


Powered by a Swiss automatic movement, the MS03 incorporates more than 100 components to activate its expansion system, demonstrating rare technical mastery.
