About the model
Most watches are inspired by space.
ATOWAK Mars Age seeks to recreate it.
The result of three years of development, this spectacular creation transposes Martian exploration into a mechanical architecture where each element of the dial possesses its own cosmic significance. Here, time is no longer represented by traditional hands but by a veritable miniature planetary system in perpetual motion.
At the center of the dial revolves Mars, represented as a three-dimensional disk inspired by Valles Marineris, one of the most impressive canyons in the solar system. Around it orbit the Earth and the Moon, each moving along a carefully orchestrated trajectory. The result gives the impression of observing a living astronomical model rather than a traditional mechanical watch.
The minute display relies on an original space relay system where two hands, inspired by interplanetary spacecraft, successively transmit the time display. At every moment, the dial evolves, rotates, and transforms in a fascinating mechanical choreography that truly brings the whole to life.
This impression of depth is further enhanced by the double-domed sapphire crystal and the three-dimensional architecture of the orbital module. Each glance reveals a new detail, a new trajectory, or a new relief, as if several layers of the universe coexisted beneath the glass.
Beyond its spectacular nature, Mars Age tells a story: that of humanity's first great departure for a new world. Mars is no longer simply a planet observed from Earth; it becomes a symbol of exploration, curiosity, and pushing beyond known boundaries.
The Phantom Violet version takes this vision even further with a limited edition of only 102 numbered pieces. Inspired by the rare blue-violet glows observed in the Martian sky by NASA, it combines a reinforced grade 5 titanium architecture with a color palette directly inspired by real astronomical phenomena.
Whether chosen in Origin Grey, Traverse White, or Phantom Violet, the ATOWAK Mars Age is for enthusiasts who seek much more than just a watch. A piece capable of telling a story, sparking curiosity, and reminding us that beyond every horizon lies a new frontier to explore.
